How to Use this Site
Making it work in the classroom
This website contains five activities for students in grades four, five and six. We recommend that you focus on one activity per class (versus trying to complete all activities in one class period).
The student activities on this website are available only in Flash. This means you will need to download Flash to use them. Directions for this are available on the Kids Zone page.
Depending on your access to computers in your classroom and how you want your students to use the activities, you can use a variety of approaches in terms of student access/usage. For example, you can have students working in pairs or individually. Each activity project plan has more suggestions on this.
Each website activity has a separate project plan with additional background information/activities available to help you better plan use of this site in your classroom.
