YouthLink is proud to provide engaging volunteer opportunities where our volunteers can share stories of police stories and Calgary’s history as well as welcome our visitors to our unique center.
Additionally, our volunteers assist us with museum facilitation, program delivery, and engage our audiences with our interactive displays and experiences.
REQUIREMENTS
Volunteers must meet the following requirements:
- must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- must have Canadian citizenship or legal permanent status
- must have no criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
- must have no criminal charges pending before the courts
- must complete and pass an Enhanced Security Clearance Declaration
- must be willing to give a one year commitment
- must be able to volunteer at least two 3-hour shifts per month
- must possess the necessary written and verbal communication skills to perform varied tasks
THE VALUE OF OUR VOLUNTEERS
We have a wonderful team of volunteers who come from all walks of life: CPS veterans, teachers, nurses, and many more. Their warm-hearted and personable nature helps create meaningful experiences for our guests. Above all, our volunteers are vital to the work that we do.
In partnership with the Calgary Police Service, we continually provide recognition to our volunteers for their service. We also strive to provide them with engaging work, training, and any additional information to make them successful.
JOIN THE YOUTHLINK VOLUNTEER TEAM!
We are currently seeking Visitor Experience Hosts. The role requires individuals who love interacting with the public and can provide great customer service. We are looking for strong communicators to help deliver YouthLink’s programs. We want individuals who are excited about sharing how the Calgary Police Service has impacted the community – both in the past and present; and are excited to learn and share presentations on forensics, history, and crime prevention. A love of learning is a must!
As a volunteer with YouthLink, you will be provided with training and the information required to succeed in your role. You will receive recognition from YouthLink and the Calgary Police Service for your contributions to our important work. We are dedicated to offering engaging and rewarding work that is also fun for our volunteers.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
YouthLink is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays from September to June and Tuesday to Saturday in July and August. We have a particular interest in those who can contribute their talents on Mondays to Fridays as we transition into the summer months.
